Seniors USA 3/8/2018

It's been cold last few nights along with some rain that has been happening. Flew a few flights earlier last week. One day we had clouds and bases around 5,500 MSL late afternoon. Along with some good climbs 4-6 kts.  Flights are on the OLC to view.https://www.onlinecontest.org/olc-2.0/gliding/flightsOfAirfield.html?aa=SEMI61&st=olcp&rt=olc&c=US&sc=&sp=2018.
Many folks are already here and signing in for the contest which start's on the 10th.

Today's weather is well short of spectacular. Winds in the boundary layer are 23-25 kts out of the NW. Lift may go up as high as 4,000 agl, but we have a layer of cirrus which might not allow that to happen. Only a few are launching and tomorrow is the offical practice day, 3/09/2018.

Here's a few pics click to make big.

Winds are gusting as my Motorhome is rocking. Next few days (maybe more) are needed before we see a change. Like maybe a week from this Saturday............around the 17th or so.
